From the car park, go through the gate onto the grassland, and walk diagonally across to the top of the steps.

You'll probably have a Kodak moment here!

Go down the steps, and follow the path.  You'll cross a longer bridge and then a shorter one,  ending up on Broad Haven South Beach.

These are man-made lakes.  Sometimes in summer algal bloom takes over the lakes; this which can be toxic to dogs, so it's best to keep them out of the water.  Algal growth is accelerated by fertiliser that has run off from fields upstream.

Otters can pop up and swim around in these lakes at any time, but your best bet to see them is to come just before dawn, and sit patiently in the hut with warm clothing, a thermos and a sandwich.
